7th International Workshop on Food and Brain health (7- 8th April 2021)
For
this event we will be considering the researchers from all regions of IBRO-MENA
and rest of the world.
Many
efforts have been made to explore the mechanisms behind the neuro-protective
action of food and natural compounds. Numerous epidemiological studies have
shown consistent health benefits through the consumption of fruits, vegetables
and nuts. Studies suggest that food or diet can affect the risk of brain
diseases.
This
workshop aims to address the current topics in Nutrition, Food in human brain
health with a relevance to Sultanate of Oman and elsewhere. The topics of potential interest
for this workshop will be categorized into two themes;
(1)
Food and Brain Health.
(2)
Current status of Neurocognitive diseases including Alzheimer’s disease,
Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury in Oman and elsewhere.
There
are 5-10 scientists from USA, Egypt, India, Kuwait, Qatar and Lebanon will be
presenting their work and going to give an update about the effect of food on
mental health. There will be some presentations form SQU faculty and students
about the update of the current status of traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s
disease and other neurodegenerative diseases in Oman. The audience of this
second international workshop will be Health professionals, Nutritionists and
Dietitians from SQUH and Ministry of Health, Ministry of Fisheries, students
from SQU and other colleges from Muscat, Oman.
There will be a mini workshop on how to publish book with Springer and how to write effective Manuscripts by Springer-Nature Singapore.
